Disinfectants That Kill SARS-COV2

Let's face it, finding products that properly disinfect surfaces is a challenge these days due to shortages. Luckily, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) tracks and publishes this information.

The EPA has released a full list of products that have been tested and approved to kill SARS-COV2, the virus that causes COVID19. Click this link to the list of products and search for specific products: https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2-covid-19.

Many products have been added to the list, but one of the latest products added is Pine-Sol Original Multi-Surface Cleaner.

Keep in mind that there are safe and NON-SAFE ways to use disinfectants. It's important to have proper ventilation, avoid mixing substances and make sure your products have not expired. Watch this video for tips on how to properly use disinfectants:

Finally, it's also worth noting that the FDA tracks hand-sanitizers that may be potentially dangerous or ineffective. The FDA has noted of a number of hand sanitizers that contain methanol (a potentially dangerous substance), have been recalled or are sub potent.

To see if your hand sanitizer falls into this category, please check out the FDA's list of potentially dangerous hand sanitizers here: https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-and-availability/fda-updates-hand-sanitizers-consumers-should-not-use#products.

Happy Cleaning & Disinfecting!
